Studio Philosophy

My style and philosophy for my photography, as well as the way I run my business is… ‘keep it simple’. Simple never dates. I try not to get caught up in current trends. I believe in relaxed, fun, intimate, simple, timeless, real and natural portraits. The kind that don’t have an obvious date stamp from a certain fad that was ‘in’ the year you got married. Whether through a Photoshop technique, or a particular way of shooting.

Getting to know my couples beforehand is really important to me in order to be able to see and photograph their connection. Finding out whom they are, what makes them laugh, how they interact with each other, and how they connect, is crucial. This will result in a collection of authentic images. Weddings are a rollercoaster of emotions, and images should depict each and every angle of the day, from the laughter, to the tears, to the nerves and everything in between.
